Kate Muldrew
class of 2022 | western reining
Brooklet, Georgia
I am Kate Muldrew, a rising junior from Brooklet Georgia, and member of Flamekissed Equestrian Show Team & IEA Team. I have been competing in some capacity from the age of 5, starting with Flamekissed drill team and show team for local shows. I have been seriously working to achieve my goal of riding collegiately since I entered middle school. Riding and showing horses has always been my greatest passion. I have ridden a variety of horses in my youth experience, and although I have not owned my own show horse, my parents have leased the best show horse we could find under the guidance of my coaches, Amanda and Dennis Pope. In riding a variety of horses, I have enjoyed learning how to work with horses of different skill levels, training styles, and temperaments. I have participated in the American Ranch Horse Association for 4 years. Through ARHA and the wide range of classes it offers, I have sharpened my skills, and has stretched me to become more well-rounded. This experience of working to understand a horse, either quickly in an IEA show or over time at home, has become my favorite part of being a horsewoman. I was able to attend the University of South Carolina Camp in December 2019 and had plans to attend other camps which were unfortunately canceled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Chloe Scott
class of 2023 | reining and horsemanship
Trains with Steven Marbry at Marbry Performance Horses and Jenny King at King Show Horses. Chloe will intern with Katie Davis at Deary Performance Horses over the summer of 2021.
At the age of 7 years old Chloe was taught how to ride under Elizabeth Dabney at the Dabney Riding Academy learning the Ed Dabney Gentle Horsemanship methods for 5 years. During those years Chloe also rode on the Diamond D Cowgirls mounted drill team working her way up to the varsity elite team and becoming the SEMDTA National Champions in the Patriotic division. Chloe learned at a young age the importance of teamwork, showing, and confidence in the arena. Through the years the team won a variety of awards, performed in parades, and events. In the off season Chloe would ride and compete in IEA English, western dressage, and mounted shooting. She also earned a spot on the King Show horses IEA team riding both horsemanship and reining. It was the Summer of 2019 that Chloe was introduced to reining at the NRHA level. Her first NRHA show was a catch ride earning a 68 and finishing top 4 in the SERHA green 1 that year. Chloe has an extensive experience in riding a variety of horses from drill team to IEA. Chloe is currently coached reining by Steven Marbry at Marbry Performance Horses and Jenny King at King Show horses. Chloe also is coached by Katie Davis at Deary Performance Horses when she’s in Texas over school breaks and will intern the summer of 2021.
Chloe’s goal is to be part of an equestrian team where she can contribute to the success of the team. Chloe has always enjoyed accomplishing goals with teammates by playing High School Volleyball and was involved at a younger age playing recreational sports. The passion for horses has always been a part of Chloe with her own riding experience or simply volunteering. She developed this through her foundation at Dabney the basics of horsemanship and to connect with horses of all types.
